Hello Everyone,
Hopefully this newsletter finds you all well, we have gone from a summer of drought to torrential downpours in the past couple of weeks. As some of you are aware some of our committee members will be overseas for some of the winter months, therefore the only events that will be taking place for January & February 2023 will be our regular monthly meeting on the first Sunday and our Noggin & Natter on the third Tuesday of each month. This will also be the last chat for a few months.
Past Events
Sunday 2nd October was our regular Sunday meeting which was well attended despite some inclement weather.
Saturday 22nd October – No Mid-month meal this month instead we held an excellent 60’s themed quiz at Matching Tye village hall. We had approximately 20 members & guests attend. The evening kicked off with a fish & chip supper which was provided by the club, six rounds of questions set by Richard Way ably assisted by Jon Rome on the music round. During a break in proceedings a raffle was held which raised £120 which will be donated to children in need, thanks go to everyone who donated prizes for this. Thanks go to Wendy Way who organised this very enjoyable event, it would have been nice to have seen a few more members attend.
Tuesday 25th October – Noggin & Natter – The Fox Matching Tye. This event wasn’t very well supported this month with only two members attending. We will continue to run it through the winter and then reassess its popularity.

New committee members are always welcomed.
2 – 4th June 2023 – Weekend away – Caley Hall, Old Hunstanton PE36 6HH. This hotel caters for car clubs with reserved parking. It is within walking distance of the coast and is surrounded by interesting places to visit. This is now full but if you would like to attend please contact Dennis Northcott dennisnorthcottage@btinternet.com who might be able to get some extra rooms.
2023 Car Show
Gus Mckie has informed me that following his move to the Essex coast he will be unable to chair the committee for next year’s car show. If the club want to have a voice in how the show progresses in the future we urgently need a club member to step forward and volunteer to fill this role.
My thanks go to Gus for all his efforts over the past few shows and ensuring that this year’s show went ahead and was undoubtedly our most successful.
